Vanilla Custard

Vanilla custard is a delicious dessert made from a mixture of milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla flavoring. It is traditionally cooked on a stovetop or double boiler to ensure even heating and prevent the eggs from curdling. Advanced mixing kettles like Dieta Genier can use their precise temperature control to make delicious vanilla custard without manual work and without stress.

Instructions

Step 1

  • Dry ingredients and cold liquids
Combine the dry ingredients in the kettle with cold liquids.
  • Whisk them together
Whisk them until the mixture is smooth, about 3 to 5 minutes. Forward mixing with speed 80 or more.
  • Step 2

    • Whisk in the egg yolks
Add the egg yolks through the lid while whisking. It takes some minutes until the mixture is pale and smooth.
    • Step 3

      • Gently bring to boil
Continue to mix continuously and bring gently to boiling until thickened. Low gentle heat keeps the custard smooth without "scrambling" the eggs.
      • Let it cool and serve
